Affiliate marketting tips

So who is ready to make some money with halloween costumes affiliate programs? If you are a smart affiliate then you should have already some sites ready to roll by now. The industry generates around 6-7 billion dollars each year in sales! There are some things you need to know before you jump into this halloween affiliate craze though. According to this article what drives Halloween costumes sales are the adults :) which is how you should be targeting your marketing campaigns.

Everyone knows that sex sells right? Well your banners should be as sexy as can be lol. Within the next 2 months the sales are going to skyrocket and affiliates are going to make a killing if you know how to drive traffic of course. The cool part is that your targeting is massive and large media buys will do well I imagine. I am getting ready to do some testing this year with this.

There are some good affiliate programs out there that you can join as well.

Here are a few I found:

Costume Super Center – Affiliate page (Linkshare)

Halloween Express – Affiliate page (CJ.com)

Costume Express – Affiliate page (CJ.com)

Those 3 are the top ones in the industry. They all offer adult costumes which is the key. I highly recommend that you sign up with all of them (for split testing) and see if you can get some sales. It’s going to be easy money over the next 2 months.

Get some nice HOT banners made and get to work. What’s cool is that women are going to be going crazy over sexy costumes and a lot of them have kids so basically you will get higher average order if you target women. Of course guys will want their girlfriend to look hot as well :)

Anyway, here are some tips on how to promote these programs.

1. Create a site and go for SEO (too hard to do at this point. You should have thought about that like in January, but there is always next year)

2. Have some articles written and distribute them with links to a blogger blog with your affiliate links

3. Buy banner ads ( large media buys for Halloween costumes will do well over next 2 months)

4. Facebook !!!

5. PPC – obviously you need skill for that. Just direct linking might not work. I would get a WordPress site set up with some good content before trying this out.

Obviously I am not going to tell too much, because I am going to run some campaigns of my own this year, but there is room for everyone. Just get creative and get something going. Don’t just sit and do nothing after you sign up for their affiliate program. Get traffic anyway you can. Even if you don’t make too many sales you will get some data and you can always get ready for next year.
